The 4th of July fireworks show in Avon is the only fireworks show on Hatteras Island. It’s one of the most popular events of the year and draws a huge crowd of visitors. The fireworks show is primarily funded through donations, but the rising costs of the show compounded by dwindling donations have put the future of the fireworks show in jeopardy. Please donate generously to help us keep the fireworks show in Avon.

In addition to the many initiatives the APOA regularly maintains, there are ‘special projects’ the APOA undertakes on an as-needed basis. For example, some of the public access beach boardwalks are in need of replacement - these can be quite costly and the amount of annual dues the APOA receives isn’t sufficient to support these kinds of ‘special projects’. So, please consider giving generously to this fund to help us maintain and make important improvements to Avon’s infrastructure.
